The US government orders Anthropic to pull its most advanced AI models offline over national security concerns.

Bob: The key shift here is that Atlas is no longer purely pre-programmed. It learns tasks by watching and practising, which means in principle the same robot can move from one job to another without an engineer rewriting its software from scratch. That is the holy grail manufacturers have been chasing for years.
Samantha: Hyundai owns Boston Dynamics, so it has an obvious incentive to use its own plants as the testing ground. The Savannah facility is one of the most modern car plants in North America, and using it as a live lab gives Hyundai a head start in figuring out which tasks humanoids can actually do reliably.

Sinclair's group plans to test a combination of so-called reprogramming drugs that aim to reset cells to a younger state.
Bob: This is still very much experimental science, not something you can pick up at a pharmacy.
